Maggie Arvedlund
Maggie Avedlund is the Founder and Managing Partner of Turning Rock Partners, a principal investment firm. Turning Rock provides flexible capital solutions to small and medium sized businesses in North America. Prior to founding Turning Rock Partners, she was a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group where she spent eight years. While at Fortress, she was responsible for private equity and debt investments for the Fortress Partners Fund, a multi-strategy vehicle which invested across asset classes and capital structures. She served on the Investment Committee from 2010-2015 and allocated capital across the alternative landscape including hedged equity, private equity, real estate, distressed and other hard assets. She has regularly hosted events for the National Womens Business Council and has provided guidance and perspectives to several administrations on the alternative investment industry. She received a BS with Honors from Vanderbilt University in Economics and an MBA in Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
Matt Delzell
Matt Delzell has spent over 19 years in the entertainment industry focused on leading celebrity talent, music licensing and IP deals. He negotiates and executes over 200 contracts per year on average. In 2021, he founded Zuma Seven LLC. Zuma Seven develops strategies to help brands of all sizes build their brands and engage consumers through the use of celebrities, music and entertainment. He lives in Dallas with his wife and three children.
Joe Lengyel
General Joe Lengyel retired from the Air Force as a four-star General. His final military assignment was as the 28th Chief of the National Guard Bureau, where he also served as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In this capacity, he was a military advisor to the President, the Secretary of Defense, and the National Security Council and was the Department of Defense’s official channel of communication to the Governors and the State Adjutants General on all matters pertaining to the National Guard. He received an MBA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He mentors new startups at the Capital Factory in Austin, Texas. He Chairs the Board of Directors of the Cohen Veterans Network and is on the Board of Directors of the Space Force Association.
James A. D'Orta
James A. D’Orta, MD, is a seasoned business executive, entrepreneur, and physician, with many years of leadership experience in both clinical and business settings. He is known for his strategic insights and contributions on numerous boards of directors; his ability to position new and existing companies for long-term success; and his international network of senior-level contacts in business, government, and nonprofits. Je is Founder and CEO of Consumer Health Services, Inc., which provided medical support for the walk-in medical clinics in Duane Reed drugstores. Consumer Health Services was acquired by Walgreens in 2013. He formerly was an investor, medical advisor and member of the Board of Directors of Minute Clinic, a walk-in medical clinic business which was sold to CVS Health. He was also founder and CEO of LifeLink MD, providing distribution, training and medical oversight for automated external defibrillators (AEDs), as well as public advocacy and education that helped make AEDs widely available. That company was later sold to Medtronic. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Medstar Health, a 10-hospital Mid-Atlantic regional health system.
Phil Dismukes
Phil Dismukes is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with a B.S. in Engineering and of the USAF Fighter Weapons School Instructor Course. During his 23 years of experience in the Air Force and Air National Guard, he flew the F-16 and was deployed in Operation Desert Storm, Operation Southern Watch, and Operation Northern Watch. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and founded BGI in 1994 after recognizing shortcomings in the engineering development cycle of complex training systems, services, and products. He is married to Dr. Jennifer Dismukes and they have six children.
Dan Sherman
Dan Sherman has worked for the past thirty years as an executive search leader. He launched Explore Company in 1999. In his work with Explore Company, Mr. Sherman has lead searches which resulted in the appointment of CEO’s of National Wildlife Federation, Ducks Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited Canada, Ruffed Grouse Society, Ocean Conservancy, Boone and Crocket Club, Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, Chesapeake Conservancy (Friends of the John Smith Trail), Sustainable Forestry Initiative, Colorado Conservation Trust, and Resources Legacy Fund. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
